Mission Statement

ground zero n. (1946)
the point directly above, below, or at which a nuclear explosion occurs
the center or origin of rapid, intense, or violent activity or change
the very beginning: SQUARE ONE

The focus of Ground Zero is to minister to the individual needs of our youth. It is our desire to equip them spiritually, intellectually, and socially to meet the challenges of our ever changing world.

We accomplish this through social activities, one-on-one contact with the youth, and through expository teaching from God's Word.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:19-20

"And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Mark 12:30-31

Vision Statement

  1. To see the kids learn to maintain their own walks with the Lord, i.e. reading the Word, sharing their faith, praying with each other and by themselves.
  2. To see a community type environment where there are no cliques’, and where the youth begin to view their peers more as brothers and sisters rather than just friends, and their youth leaders like spiritual mothers and fathers.
  3. To see the youth desire to serve each other, the body of Christ at large and desire to spread the gospel.
  4. To see weekly discipleship groups for the girls and the guys form to give them an avenue to grow in their faith without the pressure of the opposite sex present.
  5. To take the gospel message to our city, state, nation, and the world.
